Three Benefits of Renting

Homeownership is a lifelong goal for so many of us, but that doesn’t mean it’s for everyone. With the high-interest rates in the U.S., renting a place to call home is much more affordable and appealing.

Even though apartments don’t offer as much square footage as a single-family home, they do offer included amenities and perks! Below are a few reasons why renting an apartment might just be the perfect living situation:

As previously stated, having access to the long list of included amenities as a homeowner would be extremely expensive! Apartment communities sometimes offer incredible amenities such as a fitness center, underground parking, a movie theater, and access to a pool.

Avoiding Taxes/Down Payments

Another benefit to renting versus buying is avoiding the large up-front costs! When you secure an apartment unit, you usually have to pay a security deposit, and sometimes a small application fee, and that’s it! Buying a home with a mortgage will require a large downpayment – typically 20% of the value of the property.

Hassle-Free Maintenance

One perk that usually draws in renters is the included maintenance! Clogged drain, tripped breaker, broken blinds, squeaky door hinges? Give your Maintenance Department a call to create a work order and have the issue resolved immediately.
