Calling All Rabbits: Pre-Leasing Has Begun

Even though the snow is still flying; we are now pre-leasing housing options for a summer move-in. Searching for a new rental can be overwhelming this far in advance, but with a little prep-work it can be exciting and fun. Three things to remember as you look for your new housing:

#1. Set Budget & Priorities First. What can you afford? What location do you want? What is important for you to have in your home? These are all questions to think about and discuss with any potential roommates before you begin your search.

#2. Ask Good Questions! Make sure you find out all the information you will need to make your best decision. Ask about average utility costs, lease terms, included amenities, lawn care, snow removal, parking and any deposits or fees. Then talk it all over with  your roommates before committing.

#3. Make Sure You Know What You Are Signing. A  lease is a binding contract, so once it is signed you are obligated to fulfill all terms and so are all your roommates.  This can include responsibility for rent or forfeiting deposits if you or a roommate bail out early.

Call us at Mills Property to discuss our pre-lease options; we will answer any questions you have and help you in your search.
