Ever wonder what it’s like to be an intern at Mills Property Management? Good news, I Sara Tvedt, am here to give you the full scoop. For over a year, I have had the pleasure of working as a Marketing Intern at MPM. The experience I have gained, lessons I have learned, and relationships I have formed are truly treasures I will hold tight for many years to come. Learn about my biggest takeaways below!
New Day, New Experiences
When I first started, I was told there would be no one day that would be the same. That statement couldn’t be any truer. In the world of property management, there is something new every day. No matter what department or position within said department, you never know what unexpected event could occur. That is what makes each day exciting!
Ask Questions!
You know that old saying, “There’s no such thing as a silly question”? Well, it really is true! The best way to learn is by doing. When you are “doing”, questions tend to arise. Each person at MPM was more than willing to help answer any and every question I had. Through asking questions, I was able to learn from my fellow team member’s feedback.
Collaboration is Key
Teamwork makes the dream work and our MPM Marketing Department is all about it. Each team member brings their own creative perspective to the table. Bouncing thoughts and ideas off of one another is when the magic happens. Over the course of my internship, I found the best strategies and content were conceptualized by collaborating as a team.
People Make the Place
MPM’s culture is second to none. From the employee engagement activities to the every day comradery, this place is truly special. Each person here has positively impacted me in some way, shape, or form. For that, I will always be grateful for this internship. It was an honor and a privilege to be a part of team MPM!
